About this tour

The Char Dham Yatra is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage in Uttarakhand, India, encompassing four holy Himalayan shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Undertaken between April/May and October/November, it offers spiritual liberation, or moksha. Traditionally, pilgrims start from Haridwar and travel clockwise, beginning at Yamunotri (Goddess Yamuna), moving to Gangotri (Goddess Ganga), Kedarnath (Lord Shiva), and ending at Badrinath (Lord Vishnu). Surrounded by breathtaking mountains, this transformative journey is believed to cleanse sins and provide inner peace. The Yatra tests endurance while allowing for deep spiritual introspection, often involving long treks and, more recently, convenient helicopter services.
