About this tour
The Amarnath Yatra is an annual Hindu pilgrimage to a sacred ice cave in Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated at ~13,000 ft. Held in July–August during the month of Shravan, devotees travel to worship a naturally formed ice stalagmite Shiva Lingam, which wanes and waxes with the moon. The shrine, believed to be where Lord Shiva revealed the secret of immortality to Parvati, symbolizes deep faith, endurance, and spiritual transformation. The pilgrimage is managed by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, featuring tight security and immense community support.
Itinerary
- Report at Cochin International Airport (Domestic Terminal) at 07:00 AM.
- The flight departs from Cochin at 09:30 AM via Hyderabad.
- Arrival at Srinagar is scheduled for 03:05 PM. Upon arrival, you will be received and transferred to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Srinagar.
- Morning after breakfast proceeds to Panchatharni.
- Take Helicopter up to Panchatharni (3657 mtrs).
- Stay at Panchatharni (Tented accommodation).
- Trek to Amarnath Holy Cave (6 KMS - walking time from Panchadarni to Holy cave is 2 hours one way. Ponies and palkies are available at Panchadarni).
- After Darshan Trek back to Panchadarni.
- Return Helicopter Journey to Baltal.
- Baltal to Srinagar by road.
- Overnight stay at Srinagar.
- Today Srinagar visits :-
- Shankaracharya Hill Temple.
- Grand Mughal Gardens.
- Evening Enjoy Shikara Ride in Dal Lake.
- Overnight stay at Srinagar.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Srinagar Airport.
- The flight departs from Srinagar at 11:25 AM via Bangalore.
- Arrival at Cochin International Airport is scheduled for 07:05 PM.
