The combined Amarnath and Vaishno Devi Yatra (July-August) is a profound spiritual journey in Jammu & Kashmir. Pilgrims trek high Himalayas for the natural Ice Lingam at Amarnath Cave, symbolizing Lord Shiva’s immortality. It is followed by the holy visit to Mata Vaishno Devi at Trikuta Mountains, seeking blessings for a peaceful life. The journey involves challenging terrain (Pahalgam/Baltal) and high altitude, representing deep faith. It typically includes a 45-day season, with devotees shouting "Har Har Mahadev" and "Jai Mata Di". It’s a life-changing experience combining raw divine energy with maternal warmth.
Itinerary
- On arrival, Pick up and transfer to hotel.
- Overnight stay Srinagar.
- Morning after breakfast proceeds to Panchatharni.
- Take Helicopter up to Panchatharni (3657 mtrs).
- Stay at Panchatharni (Tented accommodation).
- Trek to Amarnath Holy Cave (6 KMS - walking time from Panchadarni to Holy cave is 2 hours one way. Ponies and palkies are available at Panchadarni).
- After Darshan Trek back to Panchadarni.
- Return Helicopter Journey to Baltal.
- Baltal to Srinagar by road.
- Overnight stay at Srinagar.
- Today Srinagar visits :-
- Shankaracharya Hill Temple.
- Grand Mughal Gardens.
- Evening Enjoy Shikara Ride in Dal Lake.
- Overnight stay at Srinagar.
- Today departs from Srinagar to Katra (7 hrs)
- Check into hotel at Katra & Overnight stay Katra
- Start the day with a breakfast.
- Then proceed to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan- situated in Trikuta Hills.
- Yatra involves a trek of nearly 14 Kms from Ban Ganga Bridge in Katra.
- An alternate way to perform darshans is by battery operated cars, ponies/palkis.
- If time permits, visit Bhairo Temple.
- After visiting the temples, return to the hotel in Katra.
- Overnight stay at Katra.
Drop at Jammu Airport for your onward flight to hometown.
