The Panch Kedar refers to a group of five ancient and sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, India. These temples are deeply revered by Hindus and are believed to have been built in honor of Lord Shiva, who, according to legend, appeared before the Pandavas during their quest for redemption after the Kurukshetra War.
The five temples of Panch Kedar are scattered across the rugged Himalayan mountains, each situated at a different altitude and offering a unique spiritual experience. These temples are:
Location: Kedarnath
Significance: The most famous of the Panch Kedar temples, Kedarnath is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is considered one of the holiest places in India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the temple is situated at a height of 3,583 meters (11,755 feet), offering stunning views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
Legend: It is believed that the Pandavas built the temple to seek Lord Shiva’s blessing to atone for their sins. According to the legend, Lord Shiva appeared as a bull (Nandi) to the Pandavas.
Location: Tungnath, near Chopta
Significance: The highest of the Panch Kedar temples, Tungnath is dedicated to the arm (or hands) of Lord Shiva. It stands at an altitude of 3,680 meters (12,073 feet), making it the highest Shiva temple in the world.
Legend: The Pandavas are said to have worshiped Shiva here, and the temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas themselves.
Location: Rudranath, near Gopeshwar
Significance: Dedicated to the face of Lord Shiva, Rudranath is situated at an altitude of 2,286 meters (7,500 feet). It is surrounded by lush forests and offers a serene atmosphere.
Legend: According to the legend, Lord Shiva appeared here in the form of a face, and the temple represents the face of Shiva.
Location: Madmaheshwar, near Ukhimath
Significance: Madmaheshwar is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s navel, and it is located at an altitude of 3,290 meters (10,800 feet). The temple is surrounded by dense forests and the scenic landscapes of the Himalayas.
Legend: The temple is said to have been built by the Pandavas, and it is believed to be the site where Lord Shiva’s navel appeared.
Location: Kalimath, near Gopeshwar
Significance: Although not often included in every traditional Panch Kedar pilgrimage, Kalimath is an important temple dedicated to Kali, the fierce form of the Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva. It is situated at a height of 2,400 meters (7,874 feet).
Legend: It is believed that the temple was built to honor the mother goddess Kali, and the site is known for its spiritual and historical importance.

Journey starts from Delhi by 03.00 pm., proceed to Haridwar- Overnight stay at Haridwar
After breakfast, proceed to Sitapur via Rudraprayag, The Birth Place of Ganga and the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhageerathi Rivers., on arrival check in at Hotel. Overnight stay at Sitapur.
Stay: Kedarnath
Meal plan: B-X-X
After breakfast, proceed to Gaurikund, Start trek from Gaurikund to KedarnathJee (Height 3584 mts) either by walk or by pony at own cost. Reach Kedarnath and check-in at guest house/Tent, later visit to Kedarnath Temple. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.
Stay: Sitapur
Meal plan: X-L-D
Early morning, visit to Kedarnath Temple, later trek down to Gaurikund and proceed to Sitapur. Overnight stay at Sitapur.
Stay : Ransi
Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch -Dinner
After breakfast, Proceed to Guptakashi. Visit Vishwanath Temple. Proceed to Ransi by road. The confluence of MadhuMaheswar Ganga and Makandya Ganga is the last place that is worth a visit before one reaches Madhyamaheswar. Overnight stay at Ransi (Guest House).

Meal Plan: Breakfast – Packed Lunch- Dinner
After breakfast, start trek to Madhyamaheshwar(The forthord Siva temple of PanchKedar) with our team.It is believed that the naval mid part of the body reappeared at this shrine after disappearing at Kedarnath. Reach Madhmaheshwar and check-in at Camps, later visit Madhmaheshwar Temple (3490 mts). Here you see the magnificient view of Chaukhamba, Kedarnath and the Neelkanth Peaks. Overnight stay at Madhyamaheswar.
After breakfast, start trek to Ransi with our team. Overnight stay at Camps at Ransi
After breakfast, drive to Chopta. start trek to Tungnath (The Third Kedar). Tunganath is situated at the height of 3650 mts from the sea level. (Highest Siva Temple in the world). Enrote you will find lush green meadows and you can see the entire range of snow clapped Himalayan range . On return, proceed to Sagar. Overnight stay Hotel at Sagar
Stay: Panar
Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch -Dinner
After breakfast, start trek to Panar. The place provides a panoramic view of the Himalayas and the surrounding areas. On arrival check-in at Camps. Overnight stay at Camps at Panar.
Stay: Panar
Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch -Dinner
After breakfast, start trek to Rudranath with packed lunch. Another form of Lord Shiva. In this temple, the face of the Shiva is worshipped. From here we can see a splendid view of HathiParvat, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Trishuli and other group of peaks. You can aslso visit the Suryakund, Chandrakund, Tarakund which is located nearby the temple. After Darshan trek back to Panar Camps. Overnight stay at Camps at Panar.
Stay: Sagar
Meal Plan: Breakfast – Lunch -Dinner
After breakfast, start trek to Sagar. Overnight stay Hotel at Sagar
05.00 am proceed to Urgam. Trek to Kalpeshwar. After darshan KalpeshwarMahadev,back to Peepalkoti. On arrival check-in at Guest House. Overnight in Peepalkoti.
Stay: Haridwar

After breakfast, proceed to Haridwar. On arrival Check-in at hotel. Overnight stay Haridwar

Early morning proceed to Delhi, drop at Delhi Airport for your return flight.
A cancellation charge of INR 3,000 will be applicable for the passengers cancelling before 30 days of departure. A cancellation charge of 30% of the tour cost will be applicable for the passengers cancelling before 15 days of departure and 100 % of the tour cost will be levied as the cancellation charge for the cancellations within 15 days prior to the departure.
