CHAR DHAM

The Char Dham pilgrimage in India consists of four sacred shrines located in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. This revered circuit is a spiritual journey for Hindus, believed to cleanse the soul and lead to salvation.

Yamunotri: The journey begins at Yamunotri, dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna, located in the pristine Garhwal Himalayas. Pilgrims visit the temple and take a holy dip in the nearby hot springs.
Gangotri: The next stop is Gangotri, the source of the sacred Ganges River. Here, devotees pay homage to Goddess Ganga and seek blessings for purification.
Kedarnath: The third destination, Kedarnath, is home to the famous Kedarnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It lies amidst snow-capped mountains, offering an awe-inspiring spiritual experience.
Badrinath: The final shrine is Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Situated in the Garhwal Himalayas, it is one of the most revered temples and provides a serene, divine atmosphere.

The Char Dham Yatra is a transformative spiritual pilgrimage through scenic landscapes, historic temples, and rich traditions.

11 Nights stay in Deluxe category hotels on double sharing basis & 01 night in Kedarnath on Dormitory accommodation. At Delhi & Haridwar , there will be Ac rooms.
Food as per meal plan mentioned in day-wise. Our Kerala Kitchen Unit will accompanying the group.

Pick up & drop charges from Airport or Railway station other than group flight timings mentioned in itinerary. We shall arrange the vehicle with charges.
Horse /Dolly charges at Yamunotri & Kedarnath
Auto/ Jeep charges wherever applicable. At some places, our vehicle cannot be used & the local vehicles are arranged on payment sharing basis
Tips & Portages. (Please note that in Himalayan regions, hotels will not have lift facility and there will be maximum 2 floors. Hotel people will help to transfer the luggages, and those who are using that service need to pay tips to respective hotel staffs directly).

Itinerary

Report Nedumbassery Domestic Terminal at 07:00 am
Flight departs from Nedumbassery at 09:00 am
Arrival Delhi at 12:00 noon.
Pick up from Delhi Airport and proceed to Haridwar (230 km /6 hrs approx.)
On arrival , check into hotel.
Overnight stay Haridwar

This morning we will drive to Barkot at the foot of Yamunotri. (180 kms/6-7 hrs)
Check in to hotel . The rest of the day is free to relax and get energized for the next day's Yamunotri darshan Yatra.
Overnight at Barkot.

Drive to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti from where the trek to Yamunotri (6 km) begins. (34 kms by road & 6 kms one way trek)
Please use it on foot, on horseback, or by dolli. Dolly /Horse charges are to be paid direct.
Rice can be cooked by wrapping it in cloth and soaking it in hot kund water. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as prasad. Here near the temple
Later trek back to Jankichatti & from there bus transfer to our hotel in Barkot & take rest.

Drive to Uttarkashi.(105 KMS/3 hrs approx..)
Check in to your hotel at Uttarakasi
Visit Vishwanath Temple in the evening. This is the temple of Lord Vishwanath and has a huge iron trident built into it. In addition to serving as a pilgrimage route, the Barkot to Uttarkashi route offers the chance to fully appreciate Uttarakhand's breathtaking scenery.

We proceed to Gangotri (3048 m) where we will enjoy the deep-rooted beautiful village of Harsil, the Bhagirathi River and the most spectacular views of the Himalayas.
Maneri Dam: Maneri Dam stands as a testament to human ingenuity in harnessing the immense power of nature for the benefit of society. Located on the Bhagirathi River, this engineering marvel not only serves as a vital water reservoir but also contributes significantly to the generation of clean energy.
Gangnani Hot spring: Gangnani is renowned for its natural hot springs. Situated on the route to the sacred shrine of Gangotri.
After Gangotri darshan, return to Uttarkashi.

Morning departs to Sitapur (around 10 hrs journey)
En route visit Tehri Dam- one of the largest and highest dams in the world.
Rudraprayag (Sangam of Alakananda River & Mandakini River)
Late evening checkinto hotel at Sitapur & stay

Morning proceed to Gourikund by vehicle & from there by foot /Horse/Dolly to Kedarnath . It is approx..16 kms one way.
On arrival , have evening darshan at Kedarnath
Overnight stay Kedarnath (No hotel /home stay facilities available at Kedarnath. Pilgrims are required to use dormitory accommodation (Coats & Rajois are available in dormitory accomodation)

Food expense at the time of trekking has to be met by the passenger, as we have no facilities to keep our kitchen unit to Kedarnath. Kitchen unit will stay at Sitapur.

Wake up early in the morning before sunrise and after bathing, reach the temple 4:00 am to celebrate the Abhishek of Kedarnath Shiva. Anyone can enter the Garbha Griha and touch the idol. After darshan and puja, leave the temple

Morning check out & departs to Badarinath (6-7 hrs drive)
Enroute you can visit Joshimath ,established by Adi Sankaracharya in 8th century.
On arrival check into hotel . (If time allows, we can visit Badarinath Dham)

cancellation charge of INR 3,000 will be applicable for the passengers cancelling before 30 days of departure. A cancellation charge of 30% of the tour cost will be applicable for the passengers cancelling before 15 days of departure and 100 % of the tour cost will be levied as the cancellation charge for the cancellations within 15 days prior to the departure.

Flight & Train cancellation charges will be actual as per the policy.

Fitness : A good walk on hilly areas will help you reduce some weight and should put you in the right shape. it is recommended that you bring a good day pack and are fit enough to carry snacks, filled water bottle/small scissors and knife, waterproof matches, safety pins, Thermometer, Lighter, Dehydration salt (electoral) packets, Neoprene Powder and cream. Heat balm for muscles/joints, Vicks inhaler/vapourub,. Dry Fruits/snacks, camera, Film, Map, Jumper, Sun Hat, First Aid Kit, Light weight Rain Gear, Extra Cloth etc.
Attitude Sickness :- This is an environment related condition that can effect anyone who ascends too rapidly to high elevations without acclimatizing properly and also consult your doctor.
Anti - Inflammatory :- · Brufen or Mortin. Aspirin / Tylenol or general painkillers. Strong sunscreen oil, skin antibiotic cream.
Insurance:- -We recommend that you insure yourself against sickness, EMERGENCY RESCUE, accident hospitalization, etc.
Clothing's:-- Clothing’s for both extremes of climate and temperature. While driving to Chardham Yatra, it will be warm inside the vehicle and light clothing will be required, but as soon as you step out of the vehicle, warm clothing will be required to keep off the cold winds of the Himalayas. Evening will be generally cold and warm clothing will be required We recommend that you bring along the following clothing’s and accessories with you: - Woollen Jacket , Thermal Wears, Moneky Caps, Glows, Shoes & 8-10 pair socks.

A Passenger below 12 years is considered as child and above 12 years as an adult.

Check in time in hotel is 1400 hours and check out is 1200 hours.
Once an airline/railway ticket is issued, penalty charges will be applicable for date change.
There are coach restrictions in some cities, in such situation the tour manager and the drive will do their best to drop you as near to the monuments as possible.
No refund can be entertained for any expenses incurred for the passengers due to circumstances beyond our control such as flight/train cancellation, delays, accident of any nature, bad weather, natural calamities, medical evacuation, supplier policies, visa rejection and visa delay etc.
The company reserves the right to postpone or cancel any of the tours advertised, without assigning any reason. In this case, amount paid by the passengers will be refunded in full and no compensation claim will be entertained.
Due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the company reserves the right to change / modify / vary and alter the tour itinerary.
In such changes, compensations or claim for refund by the passengers will not be entertained by the company for limitation and also for the non- availability of certain services with entry tickets, restaurants, sightseeing, shopping etc. even though included in tour itinerary.
For Single Passenger travelling, have to share a room either on twin or triple sharing basis depending on the availability. If we do not have another single passenger to share the room, Single Supplement with additional cost is applicable.
Tour cost is based on minimum 30 passengers (Adults) travelling together in the group. If there is a drastic fall in the number, then the offered tour cost, meal plan, vehicle and other services may change accordingly and the difference amount has to be borne by the passenger. Company takes care to select hotels and book the same on behalf of tourists at convenient locations subject to availability. In case of non-availability of rooms in same hotel, company has the right to split the accommodation in different hotels.
Hotel accommodation is generally provided on Twin sharing basis in standard rooms and the third bed is often a roll-away mattress put in a twin-bedded room. Air-conditioning, central heating and other facilities are provided by the hotels depending upon various factor including weather / climatic conditions, local laws etc.
As a Travel House / Tour Operator, the company does not have any control over Airlines, Coach Companies, Shipping Companies, Hotels, Local Transport or any other facilities provided by the third parties. The company is not responsible for the delays or deficiencies in the services provided by outside agencies. Also please note that the company does not have any control on schedules of opening and closing timings of the tourist attractions.
Any damage caused to the hotel rooms or coach during your stay shall be payable by the passengers. Team Yathri Holidays will not be held responsibility for the same. There are no refunds for any services, i.e., meals, sightseeing’s, flight delay or cancellation of flight etc. not utilized on the tour.
The Company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, natural calamity, delay, breakdown or irregularity that may occur in carrying out the tour arrangement. (Management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause, whatsoever, and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers).
Any disputes arising in respect of the tour shall be subject to Ernakulum Jurisdiction.
Any tour package cancelled under Force majeure situation ie; tour packages cancelled or unable to operate on account of reasons beyond our control (Eg: Pandemic situation), the amount received from the customers after deducting all expenses which are not recoverable in any manner will be kept in customer credit (Credit Shell) and provide the facility to utilize the same credit note value towards booking of future tour packages.
Airlines are solely responsible for overbooking of seats, failure to provide meal as required by the guest, quality of meal, loss of baggage, Allotment of seats for group booking etc.
