Overview
Himalaya Sakthi Peethas are a sacred group of temples dedicated to the divine feminine energy, Shakti, scattered across the Himalayan region. Believed to be the spots where body parts of the goddess Sati fell during Lord Shiva's cosmic dance of destruction and creation, these shrines hold immense religious significance. Each Peetha represents a specific manifestation of Shakti, and pilgrims visit them seeking blessings and spiritual enlightenment. Some well-known Himalaya Sakthi Peethas include Kanchipuram (Varanasi) where the navel of Sati is said to have fallen. These pilgrimage sites are revered by Hindus, fostering a deep connection between devotees and the divine feminine.
Itinerary
- On arrival at Delhi pick up and transfer to Haridwar. check in to the hotel. Overnight stay
- After breakfast proceed for sightseeing covering Neelkant Mahadev, Mansadevi, and Chandikadevi. Evening participates in the famous Ganga Arati. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
- Neelkant Mahadev: According to Puranas the place where the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple currently stands is the sacred location where Shiva consumed the poison that originated from the sea when Devas (Gods) and Asuras (Demons) churned the ocean to obtain Amrita. This poison that emanated during the Samudramanthan (churning of the ocean) made his throat blue. Thus, Shiva is also known as Neelkanth, literally meaning The Blue Throated One.
- Manasadevi: The temple is known for being the holy abode of Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti, and is said to have emerged from the mind of the Lord Shiva. Mansa is regarded as the sister of the Naga (serpent) Vasuki. She is also believed to be the daughter of Lord Shiva in his human incarnate. The term Mansa means wish and it is believed that the goddess fulfills all the wishes of a sincere devotee. There is a folk tale about this, Mansa, a common girl who was unaware of her complete truth from her guardians decided to meet Lord Shiva and ask him about her truth. To meet Lord Shiva, she sat for Sadhana and after years of spiritual exercise, she got the fortune to meet Lord Shiva and clarify her truth from him. After learning her truth, she attained the powers of the goddess of welfare for the world. Devotees who pray to Mansa Devi to fulfill their wishes tie threads to the branches of a tree located in the temple. Once their wishes are fulfilled, people come back again to the temple to untie the thread from the tree. Goddess Mansa is also offered coconuts, fruits, garlands, and incense sticks for prayer.
- Chandikadevi: Goddess Chandi also known as Chandika is the presiding deity of the temple. The story of the origin of Chandika is as follows: A long time ago, the demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha captured the kingdom of the god-king of heaven - Indra, and threw the gods from Swarga(heaven). After intense prayers by the gods, a goddess emerged from Parvati. An exceptionally beautiful woman and amazed by her beauty, Shumbha desired to marry her. On being refused, Shumbha sent his demon chiefs Chanda and Munda to kill her. They were killed by goddess Chamunda who originated out of Chandika's anger. Shumbha and Nishumbha then collectively tried to kill Chandika but were instead slain by the goddess. Thereafter, Chandika is said to have rested for a short while at the top of Neel Parvat and later a temple was built here to testify the legend. Also, the two peaks located in the mountain range are called Shumbha and Nishumbha.
- After breakfast travel towards Renukaji(about 165 KM). On arrival visit Renuka Lake and Renukaji Temple. Overnight stay Renukaji.
- Renuka Lake: According to Puranas, the Renuka Tirth is considered as birthplace of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Maharshi Jamdagni and his wife Bhagwati Renuka Ji had meditated for a long time at a hillock known as Tape Ka Tiba near Renuka Lake. With the blessings of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu fulfilled divine promise and took birth as their son. The sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and son of RenukaJi pleased Lord Shiva with the preformation of Tapa(high-intensity meditation) got a new name Parshuram after getting the divine weapon Parshu from Lord Shiva. He has been referred to everywhere in the Shashtras with the popular name Parshuram and not his childhood name Ram (as per Brahmand Puran), which he got from his parents.
- Morning proceed to Anantapur Sahib(Approx 210 Km). On arrival check in to the hotel. After fresh up visit Anantapur Sahib. Overnight stay at Anantapur Sahib.

Anantapur Sahib: Anantapur Sahib, the Holy City of Bliss, is about 95 km northwest of Chandigarh, Punjab. The city is located in the Rupnagar district (Roper) in the state of Punjab, India. It is nestled between the Shivalik Hills in the east and the Sutlej River in the far west. Furthermore, this place is surrounded by a vast green stretch that delivers calmness and spiritualism in its aroma. It is considered the holiest place of the Sikh religion where Shiri Guru Gobind Singh Ji spent 25 years of his life teaching and guiding his disciplines.
"When the devotees visit the place they reach the Guru's Abode and are blessed", this belief has been observed by thousands of devotees visiting the shrine over the past many centuries.
- Morning proceed to Jwalamughi by road. (Approx 170 Kms) On the way visit Nainadevi -Chintpurni – Baglamukhi -Jwalamukhi etc… Overnight stay at Jwalamukhi
- Naina devi: According to a legend, Goddess Sati burnt herself alive in Yagna, which distressed Lord Shiva. He picked the corpse of Sati on her shoulder and started his Taandav dance. This horrified all deities in heaven as this could lead to a holocaust. This urged Lord Vishnu to unleash his Chakra and cut the Sati’s body into 51 pieces. Shri Naina Devi Temple is the place where the eyes of Sati fell.
- Chintpurni: The Chinnamastika Devi is a divine embodiment of self-sacrifice and thereby the Chintpurni Shri is considered a Shakti Peetha. The mythology of Daksha yaga and Sati's self-immolation is the mythology liked by the Shakti Peethas. Shakti Peethas are holy shrines of Shakti associated with a mythology that says about the falling of body parts of the corpse of Sati Devi when Lord Shiva carried it and wandered in sorrow. There are 51 Shakti Peeth associated with the 51 alphabets in Sanskrit. It is believed that Sati Devi's feet fell here in this place.
- Jwalamukhi: The shrine is regarded as a Maha Shakti Peetham. It is believed that Sati Devi's tongue fell here. Shakti Peethas are shrines of Devi, the primordial Mother Goddess. Each Shakti Peetha has a shrine for the Shakti and Bhairava. Siddhida (Ambika) is the Shakti and Unmatta Bhairava is the Kalabhairava.
- The Daksha yaga and Sati's self-immolation had immense significance in shaping the ancient Sanskrit literature and even had an impact on the culture of India. It led to the development of the concept of Shakti Peethas and there by strengthened Shaktism.
- Baglamukhi: Around 30 km from Kangra District, Baglamukhi Temple is a Siddha Peeth close to both Jwala Ji and Chintpurni Devi Temple. The deity, Baglamukhi is one of the 10 Mahavidyas and believed to be the destroyer of all evils. Yellow colour is the favourite colour of the Goddess. That is why the temple is painted in yellow colour. The devotees wear yellow attire and yellow desserts (besan ki laddoo) are offered to the deity. People worship the deity to win the legal confrontations, to defeat their enemy, to prosper in business and to win the heart of the beloved.
- Morning proceeds to visit Bajreswari Mata Temple (30 km approx..).Chamuda Devi Temple, After darshan move towards Dharamsala. On arrival at Dharamshala check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
- Bajreswari: The Shree Bajreshwari Mata Mandir also known as Kangra Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Vajreshvari, a form of Durga located in the town Kangra, in Himachal Pradesh, India. A legend says that after Goddess Sati sacrificed herself in honor of Lord Shiva in her father's Yagya. Shiva took her body on his shoulder and started Tandav. To stop him from destroying the world Lord Vishnu divided the body of Sati into 51 parts with his Chakra. The left breast of Sati fell at this spot, thus making it a Shakti Peetha.
- Dharamshala: Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Choling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts. Life in McLeod Ganj revolves around this Buddhist temple complex, linked to the off-limits private residence of the Dalai Lama. A good example of Buddhism's spiritual and artistic traditions, the complex comprises Namgyal Monastery and Tsuglakhang Temple, both worth a visit if you're keen to get a sense of active lamaistic practice. In the outside courtyard, you'll often witness monks debating or meditatively preparing colorful sand mandalas, diagrams that symbolize the universe and are used in the ritual of spiritual empowerment known as the Kalachakra ceremony, after which the meticulous designs are destroyed. The gompa houses various cultural relics brought from Lhasa during the Cultural Revolution, including a 1,500-year-old idol of Guru Padmasambhav, and a life-size image of Avalokiteshwara, of whom the Dalai Lama is believed to be an incarnation.
- After breakfast visit McLeod Ganj where the Dalai Lama staying, Bhagsu Nath Temple, Waterfalls, and Afternoon enjoy the serene climate & free at leisure. Overnight stay Dharamshala
- After breakfast proceed to Delhi (9-10 hrs approx..). En route visit Cricket Stadium, War Memorial. Reaches Delhi late at night. Overnight stay in Delhi.
- After breakfast drop at the Airport for your return journey.

A cancellation charge of INR 3000 will be applicable for passengers canceling before 30 days of departure. A cancellation charge of 30% of the tour cost will be applicable for the passengers canceling before 15 days of departure and 100 % of the tour cost will be levied as the cancellation charge for the cancellations within 15 days before the departure.
